George Green is one of our Field Representatives. He negotiates contracts, works closely with the stewards, handles grievances for Members, and works with other staff members. George has worked for Local 620 since 1994. George previously worked in related fields including representing domestic workers and organizing with the United Farm Workers.

Joel Rodriguez Flores is the Organizer for our Local. He works closely with CATS (Contract Action Team union members) during contract negotiations, with Host Committee members to keep members informed about local ballot issues and local elected officials, and with members and potential members on various organizing campaigns. Joel previously organized students and families against the eviction of 53 families in Isla Vista, was involved in organizing the 2005 Women of Color conference at UCSB, and since 2004 has been extensively involved in community organizing with PUEBLO, where his main interests is county politics.

Mick Sherer serves our Local in the newly re-vamped position of Education & Steward Coordinator. He will revitalize the Steward Program by offering excellent trainings, and strengthening communication with all members. Mick previously worked in Bakersfield as an organizer for the "It's Our Health" campaign, an SEIU sponsored campaign for state-wide health care reform, and brings with him experience lobbying local and state legislators and developing leadership skills for activists.

Ronna Hooper is the Executive Assistant for Local 620. She provides administrative support for the Executive Director, and general administrative and benefits assistance to all staff at the local. Ronna previously worked for Newly Weds Foods in Chicago, as assistant to the director of national chain accounts,
